Vicomtes of the Western Kingdom takes place at a time when the king's reign is in decline, around 980 AD. Preferring peace to prosperity, our once-strong King has begun offering gold and land to our enemies in exchange for the deposit of their battle-axes. Peace remains a fragile affair.
