Albert's favourite pastime is spying on his neighbours! He hides and observes people without them knowing, trying to find out what's happening to them. But Gertrude, one of the neighbours, is in a bad mood and has unmasked the little spy! She's furious and threatens to go to the neighbourhood party to warn everyone that the boy is spying on them! Opération espionnage is designed to challenge children aged 3½ to 6½ to make inferences, i.e. deduce information that is not explicitly provided in a situation. Children answer questions about a character's problem, goal, action or emotion in a given situation. In this way, they get used to making inferences, a skill that will be particularly useful at school for understanding texts.
