Carousel

A carousel is a merry-go-round consisting of a rotating circular platform with seats for passengers. The 'seats' traditionally take the form of rows of wooden horses or other animals mounted on poles, many of which are moved up and down by gears to simulate a gallop, to the sound of looping circus music.
