Batmobile Classic TV Series - batman
Metal Earth
$20.99
The 1966 Batmobile from the live-action TV series grew out of a Ford concept car called the Lincoln Futura. The body of the Futura was made by the Italian company Ghia, whose craftsmen hammered the car's panels onto logs and tree stumps hewn into shape to create the sleek manta ray-shaped car. The Batmobile's extra-large bat box holds a variety of crime-fighting gear and has enough space to comfortably seat eight people. The windshield is bulletproof. And of course the Batmobile isn't devoid of useful gadgets, like the nose-mounted chain cutter, lasers, flares, on-board telephone, radar, on-board monitor, on-board computer and the font tag, among others.
