Based on the fan-favorite universe of The Witcher , set years before the saga of Geralt of Rivia, the game explores a time when monsters roamed the continent in greater numbers - a constant peril that required the attention of Expertly trained monster slayers known as wizards. .
Five competing witcher schools trained their followers through brutal regimes, and once fully prepared, these now-established wizards set out to explore the land, seeking trouble, adventure, and helping others for money.
The Witcher: Old World sees 2-5 players travel across a vast map, embarking on masterfully written quests, encountering and making ambiguous moral choices, battling monsters - and sometimes even brawling with other wizards to defend the honor of their school! The game allows players to build their own unique decks of cards by choosing from a wide range of abilities: attacks, dodges, and wizard combat magic - known as signs. Thanks to the synergy of cards, players aim to achieve powerful combos using the characteristic abilities of their wizard school to their full potential. Quests, battles and even dice poker will allow each player to earn money, obtain new items and train their skills.
