Several centuries ago, the Greek, Persian, and Assyrian empires controlled vast territories filled with riches. Despite their fortifications and imposing armies, rumors spread of a formidable enemy to the north of the Black Sea. They came on horseback. Fierce warriors, men and women. Skilled with the sword, axe, and bow. But they were not mindless savages. Their artisans were renowned for their ability to craft intricate gold trinkets. They knew how to fashion leather armor and improvise the classic bow. They tamed eagles for hunting and war. Some even believe they inspired the Greek tales of the Amazons. But they were more than a legend: they were the Raiders of Scythia!

The objective of Raiders of Scythia is to be the player with the most victory points (VP) at the end of the game. VP is gained by attacking settlements, plundering them, and completing quests. Players will need to gather a crew, train animals, and gather provisions. The game ends when there are only 2 unpillaged settlements or 2 unresolved quests left on the main board.

Raiders of Scythia takes the gameplay of Raiders of the North Sea with a different theme and several improvements to the game mechanics!
