Voidfall: The Coming of the Void combines the tension, strategy and empire-building of 4X with the resource management, decision-making and randomness of German-style gaming.
At the head of a large galactic house, you lead your people over three game cycles by defining your strategic priorities, with each cycle liable to be disrupted by an event that will change certain rules. Use your Focus cards and optimise the order of your actions to triumph. Choose your actions, develop your technologies and advance on your civilisation tracks to unlock advantages. You have the onerous task of managing your sectors' infrastructure, population and production.
Choose how you're going to score points, get rid of the corruption that threatens your empire, and set out to conquer new sectors by mobilising up to five different types of fleet. Fierce intergalactic battles will pit you against the evil forces of the Void, or against your opponents; to win, you'll need to define a flawless strategy and prepare your forces carefully. May the best player win!
